Hi xxxx,
Join us for the “No Kings” national day of protest against Trump this Saturday, June 14! Indivisible, 50501, Women’s March, AFL-CIO, and 30 local endorsing unions and organizations, are organizing this event, alongside thousands of protests across the country! We need to turn the tide against Trump’s onslaught against workers, unions, our democratic rights, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, nutrition assistance, Palestine, people of color, reproductive rights, trans rights, the planet — the list goes on. Given that lawsuits have not stopped Trump, and that he has sent the National Guard into California to support ICE raids, this is an important moment to raise our voices and fight back.
As we build this movement against Trump, we will not be promoting the Democratic Party because the Democrats failed to beat Trump twice, they have failed to wage an effective resistance against him, and they are contributing to economic inequality, wars, deportations, the climate crisis, etc. DSA is committed to working with other organizations and individuals toward building an independent working-class party that doesn’t take money from corporations or billionaires. Join DSA today!
We are beginning to build an independent, class-struggle, socialist pole of attraction within the growing Trump resistance. Look for the red DSA flags at the No Kings rally so you can find us and join our DSA contingent!
NEW TIME & LOCATION:
12:00 PM: Gather for the march at St. Paul College (235 Marshall Ave, St Paul, MN 55102).
1:00 – 3:00 PM: Rally at the State Capitol (75 Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Saint Paul, MN 55155).
In Solidarity,
Twin Cities DSA

Hopefully some reporters will follow up and get them to clarify. Reporters should talk with: DSA endorsed candidates, members of the DSA sterring committee, and DSA proponents who are DFL party officers, DFL leaders – especially Richard Carlbom.
Will the Minneapolis DFL now rescind its endorsements of Payne, Stevenson, Chavez and Chowdhury?
Chowdhury is not endorsed by DSA in 2025. Perhaps she found the endorsement was a net negative for her. Here are the Minneapolis endorsements:
Omar Fateh for Minneapolis Mayor
Robin Wonsley for re-election to Minneapolis City Council Ward 2
Soren Stevenson for Minneapolis City Council Ward 8
Jason Chavez for re-election to Minneapolis City Council Ward 9
Aisha Chughtai for re-election to Minneapolis City Council Ward 10
Adam Schneider for Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board At-Large
Michael Wilson for Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board At-Large
Well, at least the DSA is becoming slightly more honest. Of course in Mpls the DSA endorsed and aligned Council candidates were aggressively involved in trying to GET the DFL endorsement, using AND gaming that process, but will now wait for the Mpls City elections to be over, before they continue their attack on the DFL.
Such a terrifying and sad situation yesterday for our state and the Metro, and with the man hunt continuing. According to the DSA platform the person responsible for the shootings and killings yesterday of our elected representatives and their families, should NOT be separated from society, or incarcerated.
I guess the DSA may not want to talk about THAT part of their platform this weekend. Or talk about how they are likely sickened that our state is partnering with federal law enforcement agencies to try to locate and detain the individual involved in these crimes.
For me, the DSA is veneer thin and operates fraudulently. I was never sure there was much to the “Horseshoe Theory,” but after watching how the DSA operates in the Minneapolis, I know there is something to it.
From the current DSA platform website below, VERBATIM.
* Take note of the words ZERO and ALL. The CAPS are mine)
“DSA nationally endorses the 8 to Abolition demands…We are committed to the horizon of abolition and the path leading us there.
Our demands: Defund the police by rejecting any expansion to police budgets or scope of enforcement while cutting budgets annually towards ZERO. ”
“Freedom for ALL incarcerated people Free ALL people from involuntary confinement”
Melissa Hortman was assassinated today and you decide to attack people for protesting Trump? Do you have any decency at all?
Decency would be in recognizing that the Hortmans, and their children, both without parents now, understand that law enforcement is necessary and critically important, as we SEE all manner of law enforcement folks are out there, ( many mothers and fathers) doing their jobs, as they try to PROTECT others from the same fate that we bore witness to this weekend.
Stating clearing what the DSA folks are about, ( their platform) with a measure of urgency, and so, yes this weekend, is something our representatives and the public will certainly understand, and…especially this weekend.
We literally posted what they sent out. Hard to see that as an attack
But more importantly, this is a big policy change for the TCDSA. Many of their efforts have been to take over the DFL. The fact that they now want to break from the DFL, that they feel strong enough they can build a winning ticket is a huge policy change for them. We will see where this goes.
